Our mission is to produce versatile, intelligent, and well-rounded dogs that excel both in the hunting field and as loyal family companions. With a deep passion for the breed, we carefully select our breeding pairs to enhance natural hunting ability, trainability, a strong desire to work, and a calm, balanced temperament.
At Jackson Point Kennel, we prioritize early development to give each puppy the best foundation possible. We utilize both Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) to build resilience, improve stress tolerance, and enhance natural scenting abilities. Our puppies are introduced to birds and water early on, ensuring they develop the confidence and instincts essential to becoming successful hunting dogs. Additionally, our puppies are raised in a loving family environment with plenty of socialization, helping them become adaptable and well-adjusted companions.
Our dogs are proven performers. We stand by the health and well-being of our puppies, providing health guarantees and conducting genetic testing to promote strong, healthy bloodlines. All puppies come with NAVHDA registration, and we encourage our puppy buyers to continue their dog’s development by participating in NAVHDA training and testing programs.
We are passionate about preserving and improving the Pudelpointer breed for future generations. Through our commitment to responsible breeding, rigorous training, and active involvement in hunting and breed organizations, we strive to share the unparalleled experience of owning a Pudelpointer with others.
Whether you're looking for a full-time hunting partner or a weekend warrior that spends their weekdays relaxing on the couch, we are proud to offer puppies that exemplify the very best of this versatile and remarkable breed. At Jackson Point Kennel, we are committed to producing dogs that excel in the field and seamlessly transition to being calm, loyal companions at home. Our Pudelpointers are bred to meet the highest standards of performance, temperament, and health—perfect for both the passionate hunter and the loving family.
Delta is a shining example of the versatility and natural ability we aim to produce in our dogs. Delta was intentionally bred to excel as a strong waterfowl dog, and she has lived up to every expectation. From just two months old, she was diving off our dock into the pond, showing an early love for water. Swimming and retrieving are second nature to her—she never tires of either. Her remarkable nose makes her invaluable on hunts, especially when tracking down crippled birds on the water.
Delta’s talents are not limited to waterfowl hunting. She has accompanied us on numerous hunting trips, including to the grouse woods of Michigan and the pheasant fields of Iowa. She has also hunted bobwhites with precision and enthusiasm. Her ability to adapt to various terrains and game demonstrates the versatility that defines the Pudelpointer breed.
When not hunting, Delta is a calm and easygoing companion. If you let her, she'll quietly lay on her bed for hours, only stirring when it's time to eat. This balance between intense focus in the field and calmness at home is exactly what we strive for in our breeding program. Delta embodies everything we love about the breed: intelligence, drive, versatility, and an easy-going nature. She continues to inspire us as we work to produce more Pudelpointers with these remarkable qualities.
Duke is our rockstar and a true testament to the versatility and drive of the Pudelpointer breed. Duke rises to every training challenge with enthusiasm and determination. On the prairie, he covers ground quickly and efficiently, with a range of up to 250 yards, while instinctively adjusting to hunt closer in more demanding terrains. His dedication and skill earned him a remarkable Prize 1, 201 on his Utility Test (UT)—a reflection of his exceptional talent and trainability.
Duke is a dog who can truly do it all. He thrives in waterfowl hunting, whether it’s swimming across big open water to search for a crippled duck or sitting patiently in a blind. His upland hunting résumé is extensive, including hunts for sharptail grouse and Hungarian partridge in Montana, grouse in Wisconsin, pheasants in Iowa, bobwhite quail in Kansas, and snipe and woodcock in the swamps near home. When birds aren't available, Duke eagerly hunts squirrels and rabbits, showcasing his adaptability and drive in any situation.
Despite his impressive field performance, Duke is just as happy being a family companion. He loves spending time with our family—whether it's laying quietly on our daughter’s bed all day, joining us on camping trips, or riding along on kayak adventures. His ability to seamlessly switch between a hard-working hunting partner and a relaxed family dog is exactly what we strive for in our breeding program. Duke’s achievements, versatility, and calm temperament continue to inspire us in our mission to produce world-class versatile hunting dogs.
